And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. Ezekiel 22:30
It is a deep tragedy that God found no one to stand in the gap in the time of Ezekiel. I think we need to say, “That will not happen today, not on my watch!”
And so your pastors are calling each of us to pray today–to stand in the gap for our community, our nation, our world. I hope you will intensify your prayer with fasting as well.
Jesus asked his close followers: So, could you not watch with me one hour? Matthew 26:40
Let us take one hour today to intercede–to stand in the gap–for the urgent needs before us. You can do this alone, you can join on the phone, Facetime live, or ZOOM with others. It is our hope that families will do this together.
An hour can seem like a daunting task, but this prayer guide below, breaks the hour into six 10 minute segments.

Adoration – Praise God for who He is and what He has done!

Confession – Ask God to search your heart and show you anything you need to confess.
Make things right with God and each other. Pray for/bless each other.

Find a promise of God you can remind Him of!

Affirmation – Agreeing with God’s will and submitting to it
