Communication Vs. Isolation

What we need to do with problems is address them. We need to open up, let it out. FIRST, talk to God (don’t isolate from Him) then talk with the people God has put in our lives, people we can trust and are comfortable with.
Communication and connecting with other believers is vital. It takes time but until we start to do it, we will stay twisted up inside, angry, bitter, hurt and stuck. And as a result, our walk with God will suffer. By verbalizing our feelings and thoughts we can let people know what is going on in our lives and get on the road to healing. The results will be worth the effort, but we need to start the process.
Communication is so much better than isolation. When others know what is going on in our lives they can pray for us. It is liberating and a very important part of the life God wants us to lead.
A word of caution here. If we verbalize our feelings and pain only to feed our bitterness, to gossip, or to punish others whether they deserve it or not, our pain will only increase. We need to ask God to help us share but leave it up to Him to deal with those who may have wounded us. We can let people know how we feel but then we must forgive. It is God’s job to deal with others in this area.
Our Savior wants to help us in every area of our lives, especially those dark places we want to avoid. Give Him the room to work in you and connect with those healthy people God has put around you. The results will be wonderful and so very freeing as we walk through this crazy mixed-up world.
Start the process and you will see good things begin to happen.
Blessings to all,
Steve
