EAST NORTHPORT, N.Y., Sept. 4, 2015: Island Christian Church is a long island evangelical church with campuses in East Northport, Port Jefferson, and Holbrook. In honor of the fourteenth anniversary of 9/11, Island Christian Church’s Northport Campus will be holding a special memorial day service this Sunday, September 6th.
Led by Pastor Ayars, Pastor Emeritus, the service will be a moving and inspiring memorial dedicated to the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Invitations and open arms are extended to all those who may be struggling with their faith in light of trouble or sorrow.
Attendees will gain a new perspective to help them get through times of trouble and hardship from the Word. Not only will attendees gain a new perspective, but they will also be inspired to share words of comfort with others. Pastor Ayars will share a message that many may need the answer to–”Where is God When Bad Things Happen?”
Reverend Joe Garofalo of Island Christian Church sheds some light on the upcoming memorial: “This day is tough for all, but it is important that we join hands in faith and prayer to honor the lives of those that were lost in this tragedy. We hold the service for remembrance, but also to give those who were personally affected by 9-11 an outlet to embrace these difficult memories and join together with others who may be experiencing the same feelings.”
The community at Island Christian Church is pursuing the kind of Church life set forth in Scripture. The foundations of this church are Spirit-led worship, relevant teaching, authentic relationships, unceasing prayer and compassionate provision for the needy. We hope you will join us as we strive to demonstrate a compelling faith that will touch the lives of individuals within our large communities.
