Rev. Seth Kirschner - August 19, 2018
Between Heaven and Hell
Application questions: 1. How did God speak to you from today's message? 2. Who is God putting on your heart to pray for &/or share the Gospel with who is on the “wide road”? 3. If someone is truly sincere about what they believe, no matter what it is, why isn’t that enough to enter Heaven? 4. How has the “narrow road” been hard for you? 5. What is the cost of traveling the wide road? What is the cost of traveling the narrow road? 6. 1 Timothy 4:7 says, “Train yourself to be godly.” How have you been training yourself to be godly lately? How disciplined have you been with it? If not well disciplined, what can you do to help with that? (ie: set a specific time of day, get an accountability partner, etc.)
From Series: "The Path"
The most famous sermon every preached--Jesus' Sermon on the Mount--is a concentrated teaching from the Son of God Himself of what righteous living looks like. It's not a jumble of rules to try to get us to the Lord, but a pathway we walk with the Lord sustained by His grace and guided by His truth.
