The Meaning of Palm Sunday
Scripture—Matthew 21:1-11 Application Time— What new aspects of the story of Palm Sunday have increased its meaning for you? Hosanna means “Save!” or “O save!” For what circumstance (personal, social, national) are you calling out to God, “Hosanna!”? In the parable of the vineyard, Jesus says, “Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. (Matthew 21:43) Applying that principle to the present day, what does this principle teach about our responsibility to use the gifts he has given to us? If Jesus were to give you a letter grade, what do you think you would get? (A, B, C, etc.)
