But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.
How do you view each day when you get up and get moving? Is it an opportunity to have a fresh start, live in the moment and walk in freedom? Or do you drag yesterday’s issues along with you or worry about what’s down the road in the days ahead?
God is with us today, right now and this time we have on earth today is what we have. It is too precious to waste and yet we can allow the past and the future to come in and completely derail us if we allow it to.
There will always be the regrets and mistakes of yesterday as well as the unknown about tomorrow. And yet our Lord is ready, willing and able to help us seize the moment and make the most of the day that is laid out before us.
To do this though, it is imperative that we start our day with our Heavenly Father.
Doing this allows God to empower, guide, and direct us through the day. He makes it possible for us to resolve the past and trust Him for the future. The Lord wants to be intimately involved in our lives. By putting him first and starting our day with Him He helps us to make this possible. Like so much we do, it is about practice and repetition.
Develop good habits.
Read His word.
Spend time with him in prayer.
Then doing what is right will become easier as time goes by.
Don’t forget to enlist the help of others to pray for you and also to share with about concerning your struggles.
There is a new life out there and we can walk in victory every day with our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. Each day CAN truly be a new beginning……
Blessings to all,
