“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
As Christians, our key motive in serving one another is love— and we have many ways of serving here at ICC.
SUNDAY SERVICE TEAMS
Welcome/Usher/Parking Lot/Front Line/Prayer Teams
The Sunday service teams do exactly that— they joyfully serve our church family and first-time guests (Front Line team) on Sunday mornings. But more than that, the impact you can and will make goes even beyond Sundays, as your kind service helps connect people, especially newcomers, to the community of faith!
Worship and Tech Ministry
Has God gifted you with a musical talent? If you desire to use it for the glory of God on one of our worship teams, we’d love to hear from you for a possible audition. Also, we are always on the look-out for people who are tech-savvy, especially experienced (or with a willingness to learn), in the area of sound, lighting and/or production.
We are looking for experienced individuals with medical backgrounds to join our Medical Response Team, which consists of volunteers that have experience in the Emergency Medical field, and operate swiftly, skillfully, and attentively on their feet.
Opportunity to connect with the community, through organizations like Lighthouse Mission, as well as with our church family by assisting in areas like providing meals, helps around the home, and comfort. Also included are various projects at the church buildings from time to time.
CHILDREN & YOUTH
For those with a heart to minister to children, this is an opportunity to serve in a variety of capacities, from small group leader in our PromiseLand, to assisting in Sunday School or being a nursery helper. Our goal is to minister to our kids by sharing the love of Jesus with them and their parents. You can also choose to serve in our kids’ clubs which meet on Wednesday nights.
Work alongside the Youth Pastor with the vision of providing a safe environment for the development of Christ-centered relationships with and between students. A great opportunity to personally disciple and have a lasting impact on the next generation of students and disciple-makers! Youth groups meet on Wednesday nights (middle school) and Friday nights (high school).
Throughout the year, ICC host events for both children and adults that attract people from both within and outside the church. We are always looking for volunteers for our children’s camps, like VBS, as well as for people to help with outreach events, like outdoor movie night, couples cafe and the like.
So vital to the ongoing mission of ICC and the overall advancement of the gospel. Making disciples of Jesus Christ is indeed the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20). This is accomplished through discipleship training, connecting with and perhaps leading a Life Group, and/or participating in classes and growth groups— so essential in plugging into the life of the church.
