On Saturday April 13th, 75 leaders came to a small groups conference simulcast, originating from Saddleback Church in California. The objective was to gain new insights regarding five areas of small group life: fellowship, ministry, discipleship, evangelism and worship. Some of the nation’s most-noted pastors, such as Rick Warren, Steven Furtick, Bill Hybels, Wayne Cordeiro and Brian Houston shared about their vision and passion for these areas.
Here are some reactions to the material presented that day:
“So many of the segments gave me more than I expected.”
“Wayne Cordeiro’s concept of developing a servant culture really clarified the direction God has been speaking to me about.”
“Furtick used a Scripure from the book of Ezekiel that I would never have thought to apply to small groups. As leaders, we need to speak to the “dry bones” of our members, encouraging them to take the spiritual next steps that God wants them to.”
“This was not just about small groups! Every person would benefit from seeing this material and applying it to their own walk.”
It was a great day of gathering together to see groups as God wants us to.
