We could all use more wisdom, right? In this message series we are looking at famous sayings of Jesus and how we can apply his wisdom to face life better.
The first message in the series “Navigating Change” was given on June 12, 2016 as we honored graduates and we looked at timeless advice for what to do when we’re faced with change.
On June 19 (Father’s Day!) we looked at “God Our Father” and saw the unique relationship between Jesus and his Heavenly Father with an eye for us to better understand the incredible relationship God desires to have with us.
The third part in the series given on June 26 was called “Purpose of Parables.” There was a shift in Jesus’ teaching part way thru his ministry on earth where we changed from speaking in clear, direct statements to using stories, called parables. Why did he do this and what can we learn about parables?
Our lives are built by wise choices we make and torn down by foolish ones. The fourth part of the series given on July 10 was titled “Wise or Foolish Builders.” In it we looked at how to build a life that will last for eternity.
The fifth message was given on July 17 and was titled “Multiply!” We looked at a major miracle Jesus did and talked about the right kind of faith to have.
Do you think things in the world are going to get better or worse? Jesus used an parable of wheat and weeds to explain what would happen and what we can expect right now. The message “An Enemy Has Done This” is the sixth part in the series and was given on July 24.
We will finish up this series on July 31 with a message called “Living Water.”
