VII: Promises For The Pressed

Pastor Colby Rohde

October 13, 2024

Pain and suffering are harsh realities we all face. For many, these struggles can seem like barriers to trusting in a good and loving God. The question arises: how could a loving God allow so much hardship and heartbreak in the world, day after day, for centuries? This is not just a question for the unbelieving world, but also for believers wrestling with the trials of life.

Yet, there is hope! In Revelation 2, Jesus speaks directly to the church in Smyrna, a community enduring intense suffering on all fronts. In His message, He doesn’t just acknowledge their pain but offers a powerful solution to it. His words provide comfort, strength, and an unshakable hope. Join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series, VII – A Study in the Book of Revelation. Together, we will unpack this short but powerful passage and discover how Jesus offers the same personal encouragement to us today, no matter what challenges we face.
