Island Kids 2s & 3s and 4s & 5s:
All month long, the kids have been learning how amazing Jesus is! He has power like no one else, and He loves us more than we can imagine. This Sunday, in our Palm Sunday lesson (Matthew 21:1–11; John 12:12–15), they’ll learn how Jesus and His disciples went to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover. Jesus told two of His disciples to find a donkey and its colt, and He rode the little donkey into the city. The crowds made a special path for Jesus with coats and palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna! Hosanna!” which means “Please, save us!” We pray that the kids will discover just how much God loves them, so much so, that He sent Jesus to rescue us from the penalty of our sin. Jesus is truly amazing—and we can celebrate Him because of all He has done for us!

Island Kids 1st – 5th Grade:
This month, we’ve been learning how following Jesus turns our world upside down. It changes how we think, live, and treat others. This Sunday, in our Palm Sunday lesson (John 12:9–19; 13:1–17), we’ll see how Jesus, the King of kings, didn’t act like any king you’d expect. He rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, washed His friends’ feet, showed everyone what real greatness looks like—putting others first.

Join us for our Easter Egg Hunt! Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (rain or shine). This FREE Easter celebration will be fun for the whole family! Activities include face painting, crafts, games, bounce houses, photo-ops, and of course, hunting for eggs! You may even see the Easter Bunny!

Volunteers will be assigned administrative tasks (such as assembling bags, placing candy in eggs, and sorting shirts and name tags) or be teamed up with the decor department head to decorate the building and help bring the space to life for the big event! Easter Offering
This year, our Easter offering will be for the Benevolence Fund here at Island Christian. This special fund is used specifically to help people in need, both in our church family and our community. In the past year, we've been able to help more people than ever before, so it's time to fill up the fund again! The Benevolence Fund provides assistance in various ways, including gas cards, helping with medical bills, rent and housing assistance, counseling assistance, grocery assistance, and many other needs. If you would like to give to this fund electronically, you can use any of our online options and select “Easter 2026.” You can also contribute by mail or dropbox and put on the envelope or check memo “Easter 2026.”

GAME ROOM REGISTRY
We are currently renovating a space in our gym to create a new Game Room. This is going to be a great space for our youth to connect and have fun, too! It's time to fill it with games! If you would like to purchase a board game or a video game for the Game Room, please visit our Amazon registry.

Baptism

Baptism is a joyous, public proclamation of our faith in Christ. It is an outward act that testifies to what happened in our hearts when we repented of our sin and trusted Christ for our salvation. The picture of baptism is the dying to our old life and the beginning of our new resurrected life with Christ. In the New Testament, those coming to faith in Christ were baptized right away.
A mandatory baptism class will take place the morning of baptisms.

ALPHA SPRING

Alpha is a great conversational small group class where you can bring your questions about the Christian faith and learn how to grow in a relationship with God. It is a safe place to ask questions about the meaning of life and about God. Whether you or a friend or family member is seeking a safe space to have a conversation about faith, or you are ready to take the next step of growing in your faith, Alpha is for you!
Our Alpha conversations are held on Tuesday evenings. We meet over 11 weeks for a brief teaching, followed by discussion. All sessions start with a meal, providing a time to connect and build friendships. There is no charge to attend!
