Island Kids: 2s & 3s and 4s & 5s

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at the story of Joseph in Genesis 37, 39–47. Through all of Joseph’s ups and downs—from being sent away by his brothers, to working in Egypt, to being thrown in jail—God was with him wherever he went and helped him in everything he did. We’re teaching the kids that God is always with us too!

Our September memory verse is: "God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

Island Kids: 1st – 5th Grade

This week, we’ll dive into John 15:1–11. Jesus wanted His friends to understand something simple but powerful: He is the vine, and we are the branches. But unless we stay connected to the vine, we can’t grow the good fruit God made us to grow! We’re teaching the kids that if we want to hear God’s voice, we need to stay close to Jesus in everything we do. When we remain connected to Jesus, something beautiful happens—His love flows into us, His joy fills us, and His life produces good fruit through us. We’ll show the kids practical ways they can stay close to Jesus every day.

Our September memory verse is: “My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27 (NIrV)

Have you ever wondered how God has uniquely equipped you to make a difference in His Church? Scripture teaches that every follower of Jesus has been given spiritual gifts, not simply for themselves, but for the good of others and the building up of the body of Christ.

In this class, we’ll explore what the Bible teaches about spiritual gifts, look at the different gifts described throughout Scripture, and learn practical ways to recognize how the Holy Spirit may have gifted you. We’ll also talk about the relationship between spiritual gifts, natural abilities, personality, and calling, and how the people around us can help confirm the ways God is using us.

Walk away with a clearer understanding of how God has equipped you and how you can use what He has given you to serve others and strengthen His Church. Dinner will be provided.

We're seeking to supply Uzima water filters designed for disaster relief. They can be back-flushed and reused, which makes them a long-term solution rather than a one-time handout. Alongside the filters, we're sending water purification drops and basic medicines. By God's providence, we already have a small team headed there this month, so we want to send them with extra resources in hand, ready to act.
