Island Kids 2s & 3s and 4s & 5s:

This Sunday, we’re in Matthew 17:24-27, where some men ask Peter if Jesus pays the temple tax. Peter says yes and goes to ask Jesus. Before Peter even speaks, Jesus tells him to catch a fish, and in the first one he catches, he will find a silver coin. Peter goes fishing, and when he catches a fish and looks inside its mouth, he sees a silver coin—just like Jesus said! Jesus did something no one else could do. Jesus is amazing!

Island Kids 1st – 5th Grade:

This week, we’ll read about a Roman commander in Matthew 8:5-13 who comes to Jesus for help. Instead of asserting his power and status, he humbly asks Jesus to heal his servant. The commander even trusts that Jesus is so powerful that He only needs to speak and the boy will be made well. We want the kids to remember what the Roman commander knew: that God is more important and more powerful than anything!

March memory verse: “Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3 (NIrV)

Activities include face painting, crafts, games, bounce houses, photo-ops, and of course, hunting for eggs! You may even see the Easter Bunny!

VOLUNTEER FOR THE EGG HUNT
Help us bring the joy of Easter to our community by volunteering at the Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4th from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Volunteers will need to arrive at 8:45 AM and stay until 1:00 PM.

March 13-15

This is an incredible student conference put on by Stand To Reason Ministries, bringing in some of the top speakers and thinkers in Christianity. This conference not only helps our teens better understand WHAT they believe, but WHY they believe it. It doesn't merely teach them WHAT to think but HOW to think from a Biblical worldview. The focus of this year's conference is to help our teens defend the reliability of the Bible.

This meeting is for youth and their parents who are interested in learning more about the youth summer missions trips and what to expect at training and on the trips themselves. There will be refreshments served. The meeting is intended to give those serving a fuller picture of the trips so that they can be better prepared for them, as well as answer any questions they or their parents might have. Plan to join us on Sunday, March 22, from 1:00-2:30 PM.
