Island Kids 2s & 3s and 4s & 5s:

This month, we’re teaching our little ones the incredible truth that even though we can’t see God, He is always with us! God is close enough to hear our giggles, see our tears, and hear us when we pray to Him. This Sunday, we’ll be looking at Daniel 6:1–23 – Daniel and the Lions. Just as God was with Daniel in the lions’ den, He is with us too! God’s presence is a gift. He protects us, provides for us, helps us, and guides us wherever we go. We can trust that we are never alone because God is always with us! We’d love for your little ones to join us this month as we explore this amazing truth together!

Our September memory verse is: "God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

Island Kids 1st – 5th Grade:

With school starting and busy schedules, it’s vital for all of us to learn how to pause, take a deep breath, and tune our hearts to hear from God. For many, though, hearing from God feels complicated. Where do I start? How do I know if it’s God or my own thoughts? We’re excited to explore these questions with the kids this month as we teach them how to hear from God. This week we’ll look at John 10:1-4, 14-16, Psalm 1:1-3, and Romans 1:19-20. The kids will discover that when we follow Jesus, we can hear His voice, just like sheep know the voice of their shepherd. We’ll walk through different ways that God speaks to us, including directly to our hearts, in His Word, through other people, and even in nature.

Our September memory verse is: “My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27 (NIrV)

Do you ever wish you could open your Bible and understand it well on your own? This class teaches you how to read the Bible for yourself using a simple, time-tested framework popularized by Howard Hendricks: Observation, Interpretation, and Application. You'll learn how to slow down and notice what the text actually says, uncover what it truly means, and apply it to your everyday life. We'll also cover practical tools, such as choosing a Bible translation and using helpful study resources along the way. Walk away equipped to study Scripture with confidence, on your own, anytime you open it. Dinner will be provided!

SPECIAL OFFERING
For our close friends in Nepal

Starting today, Island Christian will receive a special offering for Nepal flood relief. It will run for the next two weeks. We're seeking to supply Uzima water filters designed for disaster relief. They can be back-flushed and reused, which makes them a long-term solution rather than a one-time handout. Alongside the filters, we're sending water purification drops and basic medicines. By God's providence, we already have a small team headed there this month, so we want to send them with extra resources in hand, ready to act.
