Island Kids 2s & 3s and 4s & 5s:

There’s nothing sweeter than knowing that Jesus loves you. All month long, we’ll explore Bible stories that show the kids just how much Jesus loves them. This Sunday we’ll look at Mark 10:13–16, where people bring their children to Jesus. Although the disciples try to stop them, Jesus says, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them!” Because Jesus loves children, He takes them in His arms and blesses them, showing us just how important they are to Him and to God’s kingdom. 

February memory verse: Jesus said, "Let the children come to me." Matthew 19:14 (NLT)

Island Kids 1st – 5th Grade:

Before giving His life, Jesus told His friends that people would recognize them by their love. Because our culture often confuses love with feelings or preference, we want to show kids what true love looks like—choosing to love others the way Jesus loves us. This month, we’ll explore four stories from Jesus’ life that show God’s love for the whole world and His command to love God and love others. This Sunday we’re in John 3:1-21 – Jesus teaches Nicodemus. Kids will discover that God loves not just them, but the entire world and that this love led Jesus to take on human form to rescue us. We’ll cover the most important commandment, to love God and love others.

A Child Dedication at Island Christian is a commitment parents make to God before the congregation to live out their faith in Jesus before their children, teach their children the Word of God, and seek to lead them to a personal relationship with God through Jesus.
