Island Kids 2s & 3s and 4s & 5s:
We want the kids to know that they are made by God and that they are important to Him. Our August bottom line is: God made me wonderful! We begin the month in Genesis 1:1-31 and Psalm 104, where the kids will learn that God made everything in the whole wide world, but people are His most amazing creation, made wonderfully in His image.
Our August memory verse is: “How you made me is amazing and wonderful.” Psalm 139:14 (NIrV)
Island Kids 1st – 5th Grade:
In August, we'll dive into the incredible truth that each one of us is a masterpiece: Made by God – in God’s very own image! Throughout the month, kids will discover that they are created for a purpose, that God can use everything in our lives, that every person has value because they are made in God’s image, and that God has gifted us to work together to grow His kingdom.
This Sunday's lesson comes from Genesis 1:26-30 and Colossians 1:15. Kids will discover that they are created in the image of God. And because Jesus is the perfect image of God, they can reflect God's image more and more clearly as they become more like Jesus.
